Hi,

I have just tried to do my first Houdini Tutorial where i give a font a basic surface, however i have Houdini 11 and i cannot see basic surface so how do i apply a basic surface or colour, also is there a simple way to change the background to white instead of black ?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated….

Use Mantra surface instead - it will give you all the features you need and more.

There is no setting for the background color. There is a setting on the camera for a background image so you can bring in an all white image to render against.
