I am trying to install the plug in … and it didn't work.
I wonder if that is because of the version i am trying to install..

I downloaded

hotbin_osx_H11.0.775 which is supposed to be latest version ?
and my houdini version is H11.0.834..


and it didn't seem like working…
(when i tried opening the example file, it says i don't have ‘ocean’ node, and I don't)
how do I fix this problem..?

Download the source (hotsrc_1.0rc9.zip) and compile it. Instructions are here:

Note: the HOT binary distribution you install must match your version of Houdini. The VEX dso has a better chance of working across versions, but it’s still not recommended.

You will need to recompile HOT every time you update Houdini.
