Hi, Is there a way to separate out the mattes in separate layer, based on the material that are assigned to the objects. That would help to avoid manually creating those mattes. Thank You !!

Hi, All you need to do is create a colour parameter ,then export it inside your material. Then in your render ROP add the exported parameters to render.

Hi I m fairly new to mantra..can u plz elaborate it a little I created a color parameter …but not sure how to export it (i didnt see any export node in the shop). Also not sure how to add exported parameter to the render node. Can u plz ..explain it in a little bit detail ..

See the attached scene file.
This is a very simple way that I use to make mattes on a per object. Look inside the shop material.
Note :- scroll to the bottom of the material interface.note the 2 colour parameters. Dive inside note the 2 parameters and the 2 export nodes. Then look at the rop > output tab > notice the vex variable names used. They are the same names being exported.
