I installed the latest version (apprentice license) v11.1.118

It appears to be missing GUI icons? I am using Mac OSX 10.6.8

I figured out how to make the GUI icons to appear.

I had to make sure my Houdini preferences were read/write and now I am ready to go. 8)

(Houdini couldn't write to the preferences directory)
