Houdini12 of bullet's Cuda support? :roll:

Pyro2 system only supports Cuda?

Also other Dynamic Simulation System of Flip, Cloth, etc…
jlait
Only the grid-based fluid simulators (smoke, pyro) have GPU acceleration. And the acceleration is done with OpenCL, not Cuda.

So just to clarify, if you're running Houdini on Windows 7, then even with a high end graphics card you will not get the benefits of the GPU acceleration? Or did I misunderstand something?
dulo
OpenCL is also available in Windows 7, but you should stick with NVIDIA Cards at the moment. They are much more stable ..
jimc
OK, so do I need to install OpenCL, or that's done by Houdini? Or does it come as part of the Nvidia drivers install?

//edit
Never mind, I can see that it comes with the nvidia driver, supposedly it's OpenCL 1.1.

Thanks
