Is it possible to pipe a force into anything other than a metaball when using the attractor pop.. The reason I'm asking is that I want the particles to be attracted to a shape that i specify with geometry rather than the metaball.

thanks

Perhaps you could try copying metaballs to each point of your shape using the copy sop.

You can add forces to other geometry types using the point sop and can then use this geometry in the attractor pop. The forces are centered along the points, but you can define radial, normal, edge, and arbitrary directional forces.

Hey,

They have a whole bunch of information on this in the 3D Buzz houdini Course Videos. If you don't want to go through the course but want the videos you can buy them here. http://sv3.3dbuzz.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=16&cat=&page= [sv3.3dbuzz.com]
well worth the money I bought the set.
