Just a suggestion , not a criticism.
Softimage ships with a large selection of example scenes. I found these very useful when first learning ICE. In fact I found them more useful than video tutorials. I could pick through the setup in my own time and at my own pace and find out how things worked.
As far as I can tell there is nothing similar for Houdini (please correct me if I'm wrong). There are plenty of downloadable files that users have posted on forums but these usually address very specific problems.
An example scene library may go a long way to helping new users. It may also inspire new users and get them up and running before they lose interest and start looking elsewhere.
