Hi,

I'm very new with Houdini Indie and looking some help for Cloud effect I'm trying to achieve.

What I'm looking after is cloud appearing from empty space and hovers on it's place until some point it disappears.

I managed to create beginning part using CloudFX with scaling up cloud source mesh and animating few cloudnoise parameters so it appears just like I want, but I'm not sure how to achieve disappearing part.

I assume I have to plug 3D noise somewhere to eat up cloud volume, but not sure where and how.

If anyone has time to guide me to right direction so I could get the basic idea how should I get it, I am deeply grateful.

I'm not sure to understand you rightly. Why not animate density to zero for disappearing?

Hello jerry7,

Simply lowering density is like animating opacity down and it will dissapear too evenly. I want it to go away here an there first and then all the way.

Not sure how it would work if I cut out VDB with animated mesh or meshes like boolean. I have to test it.
