Not a big fan of these motion-graphics thingamajigers, but those green organic kajiggers look great

Yeh, I just wanted to get a visual feeling (how nodes work e.g.) for the software and fell in love with mantra…

Got it. You coming from Softimage-ICE? You can't just get a feel of the Houdini's nodes and produce those rather good results after you took a look.

Nope, coming from 3dsmax…
That's why I tried to construct a greeble system (the house-planetoid).
And of course H has vast advantages as you can go low-level and build your own systems (that's why I want to learn it). But sometimes I still wish to have some easy solutions (for example a kind of “super-copy” would be nice with automatique wirering for random scale, rotation, etc. , instead as stamping on your own…) So I wonder is there some kind of “advanced-essential-node- collection”?

you can use HDAs (Houdini Digital Assets) for this…
build the kind of copy/stamping thing-a-ma-jig that you want/need…then you can just load it anytime you want…
also check out the Orbolt store:
