The error I'm getting: HoudiniInstancedActorComponent.gen.cpp.obj : error LNK2011: precompiled object not linked in; image may not run

I'm getting this error when I try to build my game with houdini engine installed. HoudiniEngineRuntime.precompiled also had a bad path to SharedPCH.Engine.h.obj in it or it's missing the HoudiniEngineProject folder.

I'm using UE 4.22.1 downloaded from Epic (not a custom build). My game is C++ based. It works with a BP project since you aren't building anything.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi,
This packaging error has already been fixed, in Houdini 17.5.236.
You should try installing a more recent version of the plugin.
