I'm pretty new to houdini
so I'm not very familiar with using the right terms to search for looking for answers
I have a houdini indie HDA with some file inputs that go into a chop network, go through a blend pose and then a file comes out
I can use it to process files in houdini itself
but I'm not sure how to package the HDA file so that I can link meshes in maya into the houdini asset
and then have a new mesh come out
any pointers would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi Sirxovelot, sorry for the late response.
If it's a file path input, you will need to specify the file path inside Maya. If you want to plug a Maya mesh into it, you must use a geometry parm.

hey no worries
I was expecting no response and just kept trying to dig around
my solution was to just learn more basic houdini and modeling in houdini so i didn't have to bring it to maya hah
but I appreciate the reply!
okay I'll try that out next time thanks for the insight!
