Now when we're in the age of working remotely I have tested parsec and It's pretty good. I can even animate and get decent playback.
The problem came when I tried the virtual displays setting. When I turn it on Houdini crashes on startup. All other apps I have tried seem to work.

Might be a GPU issue? I use Parsec all the time with Houdini (windows) and it works great.

Did you use virtual display?

I get this same problem every time using virtual display driver.

Try adding this to ENV file in your documents folder under Houdini , it worked for me.

HOUDINI_USE_HFS_OCL = 0

You have perfectly solved my problem. Thank you very much.

I used Parsec Virtual Display. When I remotely controled Houdini, the program crashed.

But after I added this line of code to the .env file, Houdini can now open normally.

Hello there.

We're encountering this issue with our new 5090 GPU, even with the houdini.env properly set. Is there any trick for this new nvidia serie ? It's working correctly on 4090.

Thanks

I plugged a display emulator for this in another display port. this works fine for me
