I'm a blender user and even it's procedural, Houdini is too difficuly for me.
I need a very friendly asset to make plastic wrap on different objects.

The slots I need :

- the model that is going to be vacuum-packed
- pressure slider (to select the vacuum I want)
- cloth spec sliders (to go from a very silky fabric to a totally rigid and breakable ones like foil)
- gravity slider
- a way to export the mesh in high-res obj

So all this in one simple window.

This is a very clear brief, so if you are interested please send me your quote (I'm a freelance so please be gentle, I can not pay too much)

IMPORTANT INFO : I pay only if the result is what I'm looking for (by the past I had bad experience).
So it means that you show me some results, maybe 2 or 3 with different pressure and silky/foil cloth, and if it's ok I give you my GO then I pay you and you can produce the simple asset.

Oops, I tried to open the file but...

It's not a file it's a hda. Have you put it in your otls folder?
But wait a minute there is really something missing. Ill post an updated version in a minute

Here is the fixed version:
Yes put it in your otls folder. The folder is in your Houdini Preference folder. If its not there create it and put the hda inside it.
Open Houdini.
then create a geo container in that container create a pighead or whatever. then search for the plastik shrink wrap node.

it is ready to use... but to use it you have to put it in the right place.
if you buy a blender addon you have to install it, too. it's exactly the same...

Ok, I made the update for the last Houdini version,
and put your file in the folder that you show me, but...

Hm, strange I have tested it with the 1.1 version on a clean Houdini and it works. Have you removed the old 1.0 version from the place you have put it before? You should only have the 1.1 version in the folder. The old version must be deleted.

Yes I totally delate/erase my previous Houdini version and I installed the last new version.
What do you think to share with me your hip file? It should works then?

The previous didn't work...
So I make an new call and take my chance again, I need a plastic wrap but for a very special cloth, like foil.

I tried the cyte-PlasticShrinkWrap-1.1_blackbox.hda on a fresh Houdini install and it works. So I don't know what is causing the issue for you. Maybe someone else could try the hda and give some feedback. That would help in this case.
Also on your screenshot, it seams that there is still the 1.0 version somewhere in your setup...

I just tried it and after copy pasting a node instance, I am getting missing HDA errors. I think the other HDAs used inside the plastic shrink wrap HDA are not included.

thanks for testing. It's strange I unlocked all used assets. It also worked for me on a fresh User folder, so none of the other assets were present. No idea. I made a new version and made sure all other assets were wiped.

edit: the savetodisk button does not work on the black-box version.(limitation of black-box) but it will work on the open version.
