Example.
1. I want to “bend” or “twist” some geometry.
2. I go to help and search “bend” keywords.
3. Wow! Nice. I see “bend” - it on the shelf tab.
4. I don`t want use shelf tab. It closed on my workspace. I search “bend” SOP. I see no any “bend” in SOP-s operators menu.
5. I open shelf tab and search “bend”. Use.
6. I see new (for me) SOP operator - “twist” node. I go to “help” again and search “twist”.
7. Help find “twist” for me. Wow ! I in the great shelf world again ! (may be i never need the brain anymore?)
8. Sort results in “Help” don`t work.
~~~
This nice idea - rebuild docs with “shelf”-oriented theory, but..
I type in “bend”, 3 entries down(out of about 35 entries in total) is “Basic Twist”, and “examples” is the category(Twist SOP). That seems like acceptable behaviour to me for a non-AI help tool. All you really need to do is exclude entries that don't seem to apply towhat you're after, in this case, you don't want “shelf” tools, I'd just pass over them.
Cheers,
