Are there any image formats other than PIC/PICNC, which can hold deep raster planes within the files themselves? Can HMV files contain DR planes?

Yes, there are other proprietary image formats but currently in Houdini, only .pic/.picnc can hold deep rasters planes.

Unfortunately, .hmv files do not contain Deep Rasters planes.
