I'm up in Canada and a friend posted an image that had this sort of feel from somewhere around Banff. Frozen river counts right? I think it captures a good mood anyhow.

Day 9. Struggled a bit on that one and didn't succeed in what I wanted to do sadly. I'll do better next time!

"The Lantern ceremony is pretty popular. Some see the floating lanterns, leaving for a journey downstream, as a way to honor and remember their departed. It sure is an eerie sight on nights of full moon."
Continuing the "mini Japanese world" series I've been having fun with, had to salvage around a bit and abandon some ideas.
I'll include a raw render of my original plan, just for funs. Couldn't fully setup the pagoda and create a quick'n'dirty background to hide the hdr
