A male character with motion captured animations.

This asset is a male character with various animation mocap cycles including: walk fast, walk normal, running, jogging, stand cheer, sit cheer, stand interact, sit interact, sit to stand cheer, stand to sit clap, sit to stand, stand to walk, stand look, and stand talk. It has 4 variations on clothing and 10 different textures. You can also supply your own custom texture.

See Mocap biped 1 for more information. Biped 1 has animation on the bones and Biped 2 has animation on nulls (since it was imported from an FBX file).

Translate

Translation along XYZ axes.

Rotation

Degrees rotation about XYZ axes.

Scale

Non-uniform scaling about XYZ axes.

Animation

Different motion capture animation cycles.

Inplace Animation

Play animations with the character standing in the same location.

Speed

Speeds up or slows down the animation cycle.

Cycle Frame Offset

Offset the animation cycle by this number of frames.

Clothing

Choose from the different clothing options.

Texture

Choose from the different character textures.

Onion Skinning

Street Crowd Example Example for Crowd Solver dynamics node

Crowd example showing a street setup with two agent groups

The setup creates two groups of agents. The yellow agents are zombies which follow a path of the street. The blue agents are living pedestrians that wander around until they come into proximity of the zombies and then they swtich into a running state.

Triggers to change agent states are setup in the crowd_sim dopnet. The zombies group uses proximity to the stoplights and the color of the light to transition into a standing state when lights are red. The living group transition into a running state when they get close to the zombie agents.

Note

The animation clips need to be baked out before playing the scene. This should happen automatically if example is created from Crowds shelf. Otherwise save scene file to a location of your choice and click Render on '/obj/bake_cycles' ropnet to write out the files. The default path for the files is ${HIP}/agents.

  • Agent Cam

    Create and attach camera to a crowd agent.

  • Alembic Archive

    Loads the objects from an Alembic scene archive (.abc) file into the object level.
