Great work so far by everyone who has entered. There is still a lot of challenges ahead and remember that there are prizes for best image and best animation that sit outside the rigours of trying to win everyday. So one great entry sometime in the next 22 days can win you a Mardini prize. Keep up the great work!
The Day 19 challenge is the Joint Capture Biharmonic.
Here is a scene file [media.sidefx.com] with some examples from the video.

Meet Mr. Plastic Bottles!
This joint capture biharmonic node is genius! it opens up possibilities to rig any soft objects. I only had a few hours available today so I focused on the idea (and modeled the bottles in Houdini - every day is an opportunity to model!) I've used MOPsplus to deinterlace the scattering of the bottles (so they don't intersect) and add some bubbles in between. The animation of drunk walk is imported from mixamo and converted it into KineFx. I also used a trick to project the footsteps into the sand using heightfield project in a solver.
I stumbled into a few gotchas about using packed geo in Solaris. Also, I am a bit disappointed by the rendering capabilities of Karma when it comes to transparencies, motion blur and sss. Obviously this scene pushes it to the limits.
PS: you can check the preview animation in attachment
