I'm trying to add a label to my wine bottle which obviously is glass material.
The bottle is using the standard glass shader from material palette.
I tried adding the texture as an opacity map in the opacity tab but didn't work.

The attenuation in the refraction tab doesn't act like i want it to. For example it doesn't attenuate the object inside the liquid.
I have a glass with straw filled with some sort of dark juice. The straw appears clear at all times even when attenuation is high.

It might be just my newbi skills but I have a bottle falling down on the ground , and after a few seconds after hitting the ground it just stop moving/ freezes, while the timeline slider moves. It just freezes very akwardely when it should move?

SYmekHave those problemes as well. By the way is GL 3.2 the highest?el_diablo
I have some problems with display on 560m with 3gb graphics hardware, most advanced modes dont work or there are lot of display errors. Anyone else using H12 on similar hardware?
For note its a g74s asus laptop.
From my experience it's a current state of H12 OGL. I have notorious problems and crashes on Quadro fx3500 (workstation) and Quadro 3600M (laptop) on gcc4.4 drivers 270/285/295.20. I can't log a bug, since I hardly find any step to reproduce them.
Issues encountered randomly:
- lost surfaces in viewport (only wireframe display in all modes)
- black objects on High Quality lighting and/or shadows
- handles going mad (moved away from objects)
- cursor can't peak any handle.
- can't select points for nurbs surfaces. (all point in nurbs have number zero btw).
- Houdini crashes system's window manager or other component decorating windows on my ubuntu 10.10 (gnome 2.32), as suddenly all opened windows loose control bars.
These things happens in build 12.0.553 and previously tested without noticeable progress (though upgrading to newest drivers helped a bit). My both platforms are rather old, so I wait without a panic for stabilization. But yes, weird things happen in H12.

i did not notice speed increase from opencl to cpu either. It just uses lot of vram and gpu usage is 2% at best.

I only have 10 icons displaying , others are white squares.
Installed x11, xquarts , repeaired permisions etc, nothing. :?:
EDIT: now it's showing all icons, just had to restart houdini a couple of times.

It doesn't pause. Mantra still takes up 90% of cpu. Why? On OS X/Mac it pauses.

How can I connect 2 edges with a polygon face? If you have ever used softimage , the N key does just that.
This is what I'm trying to do:
