Hi there~

If I had rendered depth images, using this images as geometry mask?

For example…
In maya's PaintEffects, rendered depth sequences can be use as a geometry mask without actual objects.

Any Idea?

Pixar's renderman allows this techniques, I didn't see this in mantra :? May be I'm wrong.
Thank you!

Have a look at the ‘Shadow Map’ VOP.

This allows you to render out a DSM from Camera, and then hold out against it in following renders.

Hi D,

It's only installed for H10 in the Surface Shader Context.

If you want to use it in H9 you'll have to see about using an Inline VOP for the shadowMap() VEX Function.

Have a look in the help for shadowMap().
