I keep getting a Memory Allocation Error. I am running Houdini Apprentice 10.0.295 on Dell laptop running 32 bit Windows Vista. Granted my choice of OS is probably not the greatest, but I was wondering if there was something I could do in my scene file to improve things.

I think you're running into a bug that causes colorsettings commands in .hip to grow unbounded upon each save. Code was added to fix such .hip files automatically upon loading in Houdini 10.0.324. Unfortunately, your .hip file has grown so much as to be unable to be loaded in a 32-bit version of Houdini. I've manually fixed it for you and the file is attached.

Remember to update to a NEWER version of Houdini, something greater or equal to 10.0.324.

Thanks! I downloaded the file. Unfortunately, the latest version of Apprentice that I can download is still 10.0.295. Hopefully, a newer version will be available shortly!

Just login and download/install one of the daily builds. It will install into a separate directory.
