Whenever I click on a web link in houdini it tries to open it in ms word! when i try to open the amazon cloud for instance… do you know how to fix this? my .html file association is for firefox

hmm seems to be related to google chrome changing the file associations for html files….

Running this .bat file and the microsoft fix solved it for me.
