I was thinking how useful it would be to add support for gif files for generating volumes so I gave it a shot and did a few tests.

I recently presented a similar workflow at SIGGRAPH Asia the other week. I went a step further and we figured out how to export it into minecraft 
walking around inside a brain is trippy.
I need to update the materials… maybe do a youtube demo vid. time time.
