I'd be grateful if someone could give me some pointers on how to use the ForEach SOP. I'm a fairly new user of Houdini (been working with H9 Apprentice since launch day) but I've bought and read through both the ‘Magic’ and ‘Tips & Techniques’ books and given myself a fairly thorough ‘crash course’ in procedural modelling (and I love it!)
I've searched this forum and the wider web have not found any tutorials on the ForEach SOP, and the books don't mention it either. The purpose is to create procedurally fracturing geometry.
I downloaded the Fracture SOP but found that the way it uses successive frame steps to create the fractured geometry to be unintuitive, and the help files on the ForEach and Each SOPs sound like they'd be able to handle multiple Clip or Cookie operations in order to fragment the geometry.
Does anyone have any thoughts? How might I use the ForEach SOP to repeatedly break a closed surface into multiple fragments?
Many thanks,
YBM

Hi, I've created a tutorial on the For Each Sop.
Since no example is available on the documentation I thought it might
interest some of you. There are others on the “Tutorial” section in the
MHUG website and more to come in the following months.

This is an example of using the foreach sop I made:
first for cutting up a grid, then for splitting it into pieces.
