Hi,
I am trying to write animated geo to disk using bgeo format.
I did put $F in the path to save the animated geo.
But, I can save only one frame. Can any one help me Please ?
OR,
I put Objmerge sop to bring in another obj before i merge it to another objs in sop level. I still can not write all the frames to disk. Missing some or many frames.

I can write 12 frames (12-24) only
The number of frames written varies in each trial

Did you think to check your frame range ? or the frame range to render in your rop ?

How many threads have you consumed with this same question? This is the third, right?
C'mon. Now this seems like trolling.

It sounds like something is seriously messed up with your installation – you're having all kinds of problems none of us ever see. Are you sure the version of Houdini you're using is the correct one for your OS version? Are you using an official Apprentice or HD version (or actual Escape or Master license)?

Thanks to getting back to me.
I am using pretty new Mac Pro (Refurbished) and i just updated the latest build of houdini.
I am so frustrated with my houdini because i used to have Default Mantra problem. Seems like it is working normal after i updated a few days ago.
But, I've had a tremendous problem in writing files to disk.
sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt work at all, sometimes it it writes only partial frames(not all the frames).
I wonder why ? I wasted whole lot of time just for writing files to disk.
Can you help me please ?

Sometimes i can write the animated file to disk by running the animation.
Otherwise, i only can write it the only frame number where my obj sit on.
I wonder why ? Can any one help me ?

Steve
When you say ‘sometimes’ does that mean it sometimes works or the only way is to run the animation?
Can you send a simplified hipfile that recreates this problem?

The only way is to RUN Animation.
I will try to post sample files.
By the way, One more question,
How can i animate the surface color or shader (changing one solid to another one gradually ) of the obj.
Thank you very much.
