I can't get the SideFX__fractureobject.otl to work in Maya via Houdini engine. I'm using Maya2014SP2 for Linux64
The plugin was still in an early beta state back in December, and a lot of bug fixes have been made since then. However, the fracture asset is a simple case, and it should have worked. Before hitting sync, did you connect a mesh to the fracture asset's input with the “Set to Selection” button?
I'd also recommend trying out a more recent version of Houdini Engine.
To be blunt I never thought it would be such a fiddle to just download an otl and use it , seems to me like the whole work flow is over engineered.
We're always looking for user feedbacks. It'd be great if you could explain what kind of hassle you ran into, or what wasn't working for you. So that we could look into improving the workflow.
