Offline installation is handy for cases where the desired workstation does not have internet connection, or when you are installing the same version of Houdini to many different machines. Download the ISO image on an internet capable machine and copy the image over to the workstation for installation through the installer.
Tip
Houdini ISO images include the Installer for convenience, if you haven’t already installed it.

Download the ISO image for the version of Houdini you want to install.

Copy the ISO image to the machine you want to install Houdini on.

Run the Installer.

Click the
gear menu, then click Installation Source ▸ Choose Offline Install Source. -
Navigate to the directory containing the ISO file and click Open.

In the Installer window, click Houdini on the left. Then click Install Houdini.
