Install HQueue

HQueue is a powerful general-purpose job management system. You can use it to distribute renders, simulations, and other work to remote clients.

Steps to install HQueue using the Installer.

Install the installer if not already installed.
Open the installer.
Click HQueue ▸ Install. If you are not already logged in the web browser will pop open asking you to login to your SideFX account. The installer will move to the front once the login process has completed.
In the Choose a Version to Install select either Production Build or Daily Build depending on your desired build version. If you need to select a specific version then select Choose Another Version and install the version desired.

Installer

The Houdini Installer downloads, installs, upgrades, and uninstall Houdini and its components.
Sesinetd (Houdini License Server)

The Houdini license server. This program runs in the background managing Houdini licenses.
Hserver (Houdini Server)

Houdini communicates through this proxy server to the sesinetd licensing daemon.
Hkey (Houdini License Administrator)

Opens a graphical user interface for viewing and managing licenses and license server options.
Sesictrl (Non-Graphical License Administrator)

Sets Houdini license server options from the command line.
