PDG Asset Link settings

The Houdini asset details panel is displayed in the details panel when you select an HDA asset. The PDG Asset Link section automatically appears if an HDA contains a TOP Network. By default it’s turned off. To turn it on, click the Refresh Button.

TOP Networks

Setting

Description

TOP Output Filter Checkbox

When on, output files created for the TOP nodes in the current network that match the filter prefix are automatically loaded into the world after being cooked.

TOP Output Filter Field

Set the filter prefix for the TOP Output Filter Checkbox setting.

TOP Network

Select the TOP network from the dropdown.

Dirty All

Dirty all TOP nodes in the selected TOP networks and clear all of its work item results.

Cook Output

Cooks the output nodes of the selected TOP network.

Pause Cook

Pauses cooking from the selected TOP network.

Cancel Cook

Cancels cooking the selected TOP network.

Remove Imported Otuputs

Removes imported actors created from this TOP network’s output files.

Import Output Files

Loads any unimported work item files and created Unreal assets and actors.

State

Ready: Work items are ready to be cooked.

Dirtied: Work items are all dirtied.

Cook In Progress: Work items are currently being cooked.

PDG Cook Complete: Work items finished.

Work items currently being cooked by PDG

Work items cooked by PDG but not loaded into Unreal.

Imported

Work items cooked by PDG and loaded into Unreal.

Failed

Work items that failed to cook. Check the error log for details.

TOP Nodes

Setting

Description

TOP Node Filter Checkbox

When on, only display the TOP nodes found in the current work that start with the filter prefix. When off, displays all the TOP network’s nodes.

TOP Node Filter Field

Set the filter prefix for the TOP Node Filter Checkbox setting.

TOP Node

Select the TOP node from the dropdown.

Dirty Node

Dirty the selected TOP node and clear its work item results.

Cook Node

Cooks the selected TOP node.

Pause Cook

Pauses cooking from the selected TOP network.

Cancel Cook

Cancels cooking the selected TOP network.

Remove Imported Outputs

Removes imported actors created from this TOP node’s output files.

Bake

Status

Bake

Bakes the selected PDG assets which outputs assets and separate the output actors from the PDG asset link.

Delete Bake

Delete the actors and assets from the previous bake.

Unlink Bake

Unlink actors and assets from the previous bake.

Bake Folder

If the unreal_bake_folder attribute is not set on the geometry, the folder to store the objects that are generated by this Houdini PDG Asset when baking. If this value is blank, it uses the default from the plugin settings.

Recenter Baked Actors

When checked on, recenters the baked actors to their bouding box center after baking.

Auto Bake

When on, automatically bake work result objects as they are loaded.

Auto Bake With Failed Work Items

When on, automatically bake work result objects as they are loaded even for nodes with failed work items.

Asset Options

Status

Description

Auto Cook

When on, the selected TOP network’s output automatically cooks after successfully cooking the PDG Asset Link HDA.

Output Parent Actor

The PDG output actors will be created under this parent actor. When off, then PDG output actors will be created in a new folder.

Auto Import Work Item Output Files

When on, output files produced by the node or network will automatically be loaded when cooked.

Work Item Output Files Visible

Toggle the visibility of the actors created from this TOP node’s work item file outputs.
