Houdini 12.5.427: Improve graph editor rendering performance of bezier() segments by about 1.5 times.

Is this true also for the motion view?

No, because the Motion View pane only displays CHOP data, which only supports linear interpolation in between the channels. I think the Motion View pane renders a lot faster than the graph editor.
