So I installed Houdini yesterday on this machine (linux ubuntu 11.04) and I'm having some issues. All of my icons are showing up as white boxes. Also my view port is just a grey box when i am not clicking within it. When start houdini via the terminal i get the error:
/opt/hfs11.0.775/hsvg/hsvg-real: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgio-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VARIANT

IF someone could help me remedy this issue i would greatly appreciate it.

Ok i solved the icon issue (http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&p=82774#82774) [sidefx.com]

Now if anyone has any ideas on the viewport issue I appreciate it.

All fixed after i reinstalled the same graphics card drivers i already had. /shrug.
