Hey there SideFX,

I've been running into an issue that appears to be a bug (from what I can tell).

I am making a simple shape for the roof of a building:

When toggling off "Use Common Limit" my understanding is that it ought to continue insetting in the circled area. Am I misunderstanding this parameter? Or does a RFE need to be filed?

Thank you,

- Tyler

After a quick gander this morning, it looks like that only works when set to "individual elements." It appears that what I'm trying to do here isn't supported by the node. Has anyone figured out a workaround for this? Ideally, I'd like to have a procedural way of creating rooftops based on different underlying shapes, so I might need to get creative on this one.

Thanks!

Hi Tyler,

the polyexpand-node can inset 2D shapes, its output parameter "edgedist" is useful for lifting up the roof:

Thank you for the reply Konstantin. That'll do the trick for now.

Cheers
