Ape muscle simulation

I originally prepared an ape model I was going to use, but according to the rules it was not created in Houdini and couldn't be used, soooo ... I made a speed sculpt of an ape with the sculpt node in Houdini and used it in the Otto recipes to topo transfer and simulate muscles... pretty amazing to be able to create a simulation of an ape within a day, actually a few hours, since the speed sculpt took a while....

Day 03 - Animal - Tardigrade (Waterbear!)

As someone working in the medical animation field, I had such a joy making this creature. Tardigrades are resilient, majestic, terrifying, and beautiful. I found vellum to be a great way to get the body shape, and I used apex to throw together a quick rig. I hope you enjoy this looping animation!

Had some PC problems, liquid cooler not working and crashing my computer, but I managed to render out a short flipbook🙂‍↕️just in time
