Hi

Everytime I try to get into the 3 or 4 views in the scene view there occurs a fatal error. The number of this error changes everytime. And its not like I have massively data loaded: there is the same problem with an empty, just started up Houdini (Apprentice Free).

The graphic card is an ATI HD2600 with the Catalyst 8.12. It is a windows XP, dualcore at 2.2 GHz and 2Gb RAM.

I've already tried reinstalling Houdini but the problem remains.

If you have the environment variable, HOUDINI_OGL_SOFTWARE set, try not setting it.

I've checked the environemt variables in Windows (MyComputer->Properties->Advanced->Environment Varialbles) and there isn't anything listed with Houdini.

Maybe someone can chime in on what Catalyst drivers they're using? I'm on a FireGL personally and using 6.14.10.7877 OpenGL driver according to Catalyst Control Center.

CCC tells me that I'm using OpenGL 6.14.10.8304. Hmm…well, as I'm not sure about the downgrade (as I dont know which Catalyst Version has the same working OpenGL drivers you have) I might just have to wait until the next ATI Driver is out.
