cmd to launch helpcard from dialog menu?

how do i do that?

i know the helpcard can be launched with F1, but i'd like to be able to do that via a menu as well - for people used to programs like Maya.

You can display the help by calling hou.ui.displayNodeHelp and passing an instance of hou.NodeType from the type of operator whose help you wish to view.
