I have a problem of a hip file growing in size over time. All I do in the scene is have file nodes loading bgeo and assigning materials and blasting some groups. Now my file has grown to almost a gig in size. I checked every single node - and I have no locks in there. What might be the problem?

I seem to recall a nasty version of it around version 3.0 or so – and seems that it's back.

You should be able to copy and paste the nodes in your file into fresh session, and save the new version. You should be back in business in no time.
