Hi! I created smoke that is generated from sphere, used ray-trace and it takes a lot of time to render it. To much time…about 23 hrs per frame (640X360) Is it normaly?
How can I speed up my render?

This should definitely not take that long. You should be able to render a basic volume with shadows in under a minute. Make sure to use micro polygon rendering and depth map shadows. Especially with volumes this saves time.

Yeah, haxorz your shadows, you're raytracing them there, that's what's killing you. A shadow map instead and it renders much faster.

as well, if you have volume close to your camera near clip , your renders are going to be HUGE !
