Hi!

I have a scene with objects, floor and image background. I want to render the objects with the shadows on the floor without the floor object.

I tried with VEX Shadow Matte but it's not working. I also looked at the H8 Render Pass Workflow.PDF and I don't found what I want.

How to render shadow on the object without the object ?

What is the problem with shadow matte?
Just drop it on your floor object and you will get floor black in RGB with shadows rendered in A channel

Or if your objects are seperate at obj level, there is a toggle for matte shading in the render tab on the object node itself.
