Hi all
I am looking to convert a volume field generated in pyro fx to a surface.

The problem I am having is that I end up with a lot of extra info due to number of fields involved. Does anyone know how to use VOPs to strip out only the density field and use that to generate a mesh? I have unsuccessfully tried iso-offset, iso-surface and volume convert

I have included an example file so you can see what the hell I'm talking about

cheers

VOPS can only handle points and each field is a primitive.

Create a delete SOP set to primitives and delete non selected.
MMB click and look what prim number is density(It should be 0).
type 0 in pattern.

Pipe that into a volume convert and increase the iso value.

Edit… There is a volume VOP for fields but I dont think it can delete volumes or generate a mesh.
