Hello,
I have a findshortest path between points on a mesh, I want the path to deform (stick) to its deforming mesh (same polycount as its a vellum ballom)
any ideas?
many many thanks!

string prefix = chs("prefix");
string groupname = sprintf("%s_%d", prefix, @id);
setpointgroup(0, groupname, @ptnum, 1);
Hi Kevin, so i have used this code to create point attributes with lets say "group_0", "group_1" etcc but i want to convert these point attributes to actual groups... so basically the points i have assigned an attribute "group_0" to convert them into a point group with the same name...
any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks!

Hello all,
complete vex noob here, I am trying to create a seperate group for each point selected via a group range, so that later i can use an add (by group) to join all the points in the created groups together...
Any ideas how to do this?
many thanks!

thanks so much Geof, i figured out what i wanted to do, I turned the result of the first vellum solver into a volume, and the in a dopnet imported it as a static object and it all worked great... thanks so much!

Hello,
i would like the result of a vellum solver which is animated and whos geo changes to be the collision of another vellum solver..
I have tried using a dopnet (adding a static object deforming geo) aswell as a sop sollution, but i just cannot get any descent results.. the vellum objects just kinda explode as soon as the collide with the animated geo..
many thanks for your help.

thank you soo much.
