Hi.
I figured out my own question!
To get the geometry to not show black in opengl, I added a color sop.
To get it to render, untick the Use Point color tick box in the surface panel of whatever material you use.
Job done.

Hello.
When I import a iges file from rhino the geometry comes into Houdini all black and I cannot get the colour to change. Does anyone know how to fix this. It's got to be something simple that I'm missing.
Thanks

Hello. YES, something strange is going on. I first noticed that when I render, mplay pops up and starts to render then it stops, when I click on the mplay window it continues to render fine, but when I quit mplay or just switch back to houdini, Houdini does not respond and my CPU usage keeps going like it is still rendering.
So I uninstalled Houdini then installed the latest build, now when Houdini starts Safari comes up and loads the Houdini geting started page fine but when I click off it to go back to Houdini nothing happens my CPU usage is being hammered again and I have to force quit Houdini!
Does anyone know what is going on.
thanks

Hi.
There is a command-line Wacom driver configuration tool called “xsetwacom”, which will allow you to change button functions. I think in Ubuntu you can download “wacom-tools” using synaptics package manager. Which I believe has the xsetwacom command in it.
Hope this helps.

Technical Discussion » How do you bevel an extruded nurbs curve?

Hello.
I cannot get an extruded nurbs curve to bevel using the nurbs round sop. The round sop works fine on a nurbs cube but not on the extruded curve! I think it is something to do with having more than one surface in order to round. How do I get my extruded nurbs curve to have more than one surface?
Can anyone help.
Thanks
