If I switch the shadow from shadowmap to raytrace the preview render, the render to mplay and the render to frame look the same and are correct.
So something is wrong with the shadow map using Render to maply and render to frame !!!???

Something weird is happeing in houdini check the screenshot.
Basically if I render the same frame using render view or render to mplay or render to a file I have different result Mplay and the ouput file from Mantra are the same but the render view is different. It's only happening on the volume render not on regular geometry, I can't see any reason for that but maybe I forgot something. ?
Any clue ?

here a compiled version for windows
you should set this env variable “HOUDINI_VIEW_RMAN”
with renderdl if its 3delight
with air if its air
if not it will be prman
thats all.
PS you should rename the original hrmansahder.exe to hrmansahderORG.exe and replace with this one

Ok i made some modification on rmanshader.c and using the HOUDINI_VIEW_RMAN
if HOUDINI_VIEW_RMAN =renderdl then COMPILER = “shaderdl”
and the extension EXT = “sdl”;
if HOUDINI_VIEW_RMAN = air COMPILER “shaded”;
EXT = “sli”;
else COMPILER = “shader”;
EXT = “slo”;
works well

More explicit ,the problem is houdini launch hrmanshder with “-o *.slo” and i want to modify it to *.sdl

Hello i do the hrmanshader modification and set HOUDINI_VIEW_RMAN to renderdl (and not 3delight cause theres no 3delight exe file)
but houdini still want to genrerate a slo file “hrmanshder -o *.slo *.sl” and not a sdl file can you help me where i can force houdini to generate sdl output file
please, help me

i noticed when i try to delete a selected node using the delete key, houdini delete 1 or 2 nodes it depends but if i use the delete from the menu there's no problem
