Hello,

I'm currently working on a project where I’m trying to create a smooth color transition along a feather, with the color shifting from black at the base to white at the tip.

To achieve this, I started by creating a simple bounding box that encapsulates the feather geometry. I then used a Point VOP to transfer the color, with the XYZ distance node from the bounding box to the feather itself. This method works perfectly when the feather is uncondenced ( as you can see from the pic ).

However, the issue arises when I use the matchuncondenced Feather node. The problem is that the feather now inherits the direction
of the strands and so the color values. Ideally, I want the color gradient to remain consistent along the length of the feather, regardless of any changes of the direction of the strands of the feather.

Does anyone have an idea or workaround on how to do this?

Thank you so much for your time and help

HI Guys, so this has been resolved , it was actually working fine, just the openGL result of the condenced feather
is wrong , once you uncondence or render it works as espected

Thank you to the sidefx team for the help
