Hi!
I'm trying to create a specyfic fracture effect in houdini - I've got a sphere (lets concider it is a sequence of bgeos) and a polygonal wall. I want to destroy a part of this wall with this sphere, but dont want the whole wall to move and I dont want to use ‘metaball’ forces to fake this effect. Right now, I've got something strange - the wall is shaking and the ball is not exactly following its path.

In the attachement there is a scene, which I think, will explain what I want to achive.
Thanks

The key is to separate the part you want to fracture and make it a dynamic object while the rest you turn into a static object.

Cheers

PS: I also found it more realistic to disable the point velocity calculation you did and set the initial velocity of the sphere inside DOP… but otherwise it's up to you.
