I've just made a clean install after a few problems, when I launch houdini with Redshift 3.5.07 actuve houdini freeze at splashscreen, I need to reboot my computer and it works, I've also tried with 3.08 ... my nvidia drivers 516.94 Studio my CD 3090 FE, any idea ?
I've also tried with Arnold and Octane same issue with Houdini 19.5.303

My computer can run H18.5 with no problem while crashes with newer H19+ versions within both windows and linux. Trying to figure out the problem for weeks and I just give up. Already decided to swap my pentium g4560 to an i3 7100 cpu. Since I am just started to learn Houdini so I really don't want to change my PC build entirely. One more beautiful thing about an old i3 processor is it can be hackintoshed with the built in iGPU while my pentium g4560 or newer 12th gen cpus couldn't. So if I still couldn't run newer versions, I may still have a chance to play around with Houdini in macOS.
