Question regarding Labs Flipbook Textures MotionVector map

Hello Developers,

I am baking a simple smoke and trying to use it as a flipbook in Unreal. I am generating the Motion Vector Map to smooth it between frames. Here is the result I've got:

Channels are set as below:
R - MotionVector.r
G - MotionVector.g
B - 0
A - 1

Based on my understanding, MV have negative values so it needs to be normalized. so the 0 velocity values should appear mid-yellow. However, I am observing black gaps between each frame and wondering why this is happening.
