Hey All,

I have an open ticket with Pixar about using the internal browser with Renderman. There is an incompatibility when the Renderman plugin is loaded. As a work around, Pixar suggest using the "HOUDINI_DISABLE_BACKGROUND_HELP_INDEXING=1" variable in houdini.env

I want to use the awesome "Examples Files" feature, but it seems that it only works with the internal browser. I get an error when using an external browser. The error is "127.0.0.1:48626 Error loading example: Not Found" Again, this only happens when I use external browser. Internal browser works, but I have to disable Renderman to use it. Damned if I do, damned if I don't.

Can anyone help me get the Example Files working with an external browser?

Not a proper solution, but, as a workaround, you can add the node for which you want the example, and then load it as a recipe.
