using $NPT to drive the number of scatter points 2016年10月11日9:01

Hi,
I would like to use the number of points of 1 object (box) to define the number of scatter points on another object (grid) but I'm having problems doing this. To both the grid and the box nodes I've added an attributecreate node with the same attribute (target) defined but with $NPT set in the box version. Both of these are set to detail and integer with local variable on. I'm then adding an attributetransfer node underneath with detail ticked and target specified. If I mmb I can see that target is listed as a custom variable mapping. However if I then attach a scatter node and put $TARGET in the force total count box, the scatter node errors out.
Putting $NPT directly into the force total count box also errors out so I think the problem may be related to the variable or the scatter node. All help appreciated!

I think the problem may be with the scatter node as just putting $NPT directly in there is also causing an error. All help appreciated!
