Hey guys im really having trouble getting animated dummy's or meshes from 3ds max into houdini.

Any recommended methods? or tutorials?
i know theres alembic exocortex but thats a paid plugin
Any free plugins
I tried FBX and no luck

what like to be transferred over is dummy's with translation data, camera and
meshes.

I could also be doing something wrong in Houdini (im very new to Houdini)
