hold your function “fn” key on your mac keyboard and then F1 or others

I am not on a laptop, and do not have a “fn” option.
The modifier keys I have are: “control”, “option/alt”, and “command”.

In one of your video tutorials, which I am trying to follow, I am having the following problem getting the interface to show the parameter settings above the main view area..
